Providing Opportunities for Progression
Health and Well-being Framework Project
Welcome to the Health and Well-being Project
The Framework devised provides a tool to clarify progression routes for learners who have, or are working towards qualifications related to Health and Well-being. This broad umbrella term refers to qualifications in Beauty, Child Care, Health and Social Care, Hospitality and Catering, Science and Sport and Leisure. These subjects have a number of common elements, including human physiology and development, body systems, meeting individual needs or general learning about maintaining good health. The interactive framework illustrates progression routes between levels, including where specific subject knowledge is needed for progression to the next level. The interactive framework also provides links to the centres in Kent and Medway that deliver courses and whose websites provide course information and guidance on how to apply. In addition, subject specific leaflets provide more information on individual subjects, while the general Health and Well-being Framework leaflet explains in more detail how the Framework operates. The project report outlines the broader context of work undertaken, and focuses on provision in West Kent to show current ranges of qualifications and progression routes, including information on entry requirements. This report is aimed at academic staff rather than learners.
