About Us
Providing Opportunities for Progression
Sector Coordinators
Sector coordinators
There are five established sector development groups, each coordinated by a different institution as follows:
Health and social care and education - Canterbury Christ Church University
Land-based and sustainable futures - Hadlow College
Culture, hospitality, leisure and tourism - University College for the Creative Arts
Built environment, manufacturing and engineering - University of Greenwich
Business administration and finance - University of Kent
Sector coordinators are responsible for the delivery of sector development plans formulated to meet agreed sector priorities in overcoming barriers and blockages to progression for vocational and work-based learners.
They lead sector development groups, which comprise partner institutions, other training providers and wider stakeholders that help set the priorities for funded development activities.
They are responsible for arranging meetings, carrying out agreed actions and ensuring sector development plans are delivered by overseeing the administration and progress of sector development projects. Sector coordinators support the development of the Kent and Medway LLN through representing the sector on network activities, disseminating information about sector developments within the universities and colleges, acting as the key point of contact about sector activities and developing key links with employers and Sector Skills Councils.
